Prom Nights from Hell

Prom Nights from Hell - Michele Jaffe, Lauren Myracle, Stephenie Meyer Pretty lackluster collection overall. Harrison's contribution was interesting because it's clearly the precursor for the novel that followed two years later & I liked Myracle's retelling of the 'careful what you wish for' story. It was basic but the writing was at least lively. Cabot's entry was entertaining but forgettable--I can't even remember enough about it to comment, and I just finished the book a few minutes ago. Meyer's contribution was, predictably, offensively stupid and irritating with its simplistic dichotomies and shallow characterizations. I would've liked the entry about the superhero girl a bit more if the dialogue didn't try so hard to sound cool and original--it was getting more than a little Diablo Cody up in there, and not in a charming way.
